Power Five Precision Heavy Duty Lathe

PT
Power Five is the next size up from HT Power One.
While HT's swing capacity is from 35" to 50",
PT can handles swings from 50" to 70". The
HT and PT shares many similar design structures. The
main difference between HT and PT is that PT has a
wider bed width of 712mm (28")
and 812mm (32")
with lower bed ways, allowing the PT to accommodate
the higher swing capacity. The carriages, cross slides,
top slides, tailstocks, and other mission critical
components are also improved to meet the higher performance
demand of the PT applications. Its large spindle bore,
extra wide bed width, and one piece solid bed casting
make PT the power house of oil country turning applications.
The standard spindle bore is 153mm (6"), with
optional spindle bores of 9",
12", 14",
16", and 20".
The spindles are all equipped with top of the class
Timken bearings to ensure the most accurate and stable
spindle operation. The PT includes the 6 way rapid
and power feed on the carriage, cross slide, and the
top slide also! The patent design enables
the powerful carriage motor to transmit power to the
top slide for rapid and feed operation.
With the power top slide, taper cutting becomes an
easy task! For unsurpassed stability on the
carriage assembly, the PT has a third bed way on front
lower area of the one piece bed to provide extra support
for the carriage and apron. The triple point carriage
support minimize cross slide deformation/deflection
and minimizes vibration from the tool cutting.
The PT can be configured for double chuck also, with
4 jaw chucks on the front and back side for long pipe
support. For heavy parts, turret can provide
the tailstock with built-in
rotary center to support extra heavy weight.
To summarized, the PT Power Five is the heavy weight
champion to your oil country applications and requirement.
